One
learns nothing by digesting prepackaged data, but the prevalent anti-intellectualism masquerades
stagnation as some sort of paradigm shift.
Commercial interests push this mental model as a means to keep consumers
passive within a technological bubble.
This bubble, when it does break, will be orders of magnitude worse than
simple economic meltdowns as it will be more than a disruption—it will destroy
any remaining goodwill toward centralized systems.

The whole argument of the Big Data new order is an erosion of our rights and an infringement on our privacy. As the sterile mechanized algorithms crunch through the data in the hopes of discovering a greater meaning approaching the mythically transvalued signification of Barthes inspired glory. The process is thus far more successful at helping steer the country and economic climate towards the Debord and Situationist International May 1968 France dystopian landscape. The McClaren/Lydon inspired crew were incapable of gaining a tipping point in the mid-70's UK arena. Just so that they can attempt to sell us more overpriced and questionable Shkreli pharmaceuticals for all our first world inspired woes.

Ultimately, the "McClaren/Lydon inspired crew" produced a consumer good like any other. It may have enabled an outlet, but at the end of the day it only served as a safety valve. Sadly...
