On This Modern Warrior Archetype Part Five.9.2
9b. Reaction is better sustained by instinct rather than by fear. Unlike other animals, human instincts require shaping and development. Adaptability in a species requires the capacity for individual dormancy. Unused instincts are, at the vary least, blunted. Various means exist for illumination, but none are easy or particularly filled with joy.

On This Modern Warrior Archetype Part Five.9.1
9a. Flexibility is a key trait for This Modern Warrior Archetype. Rigidity may only resist or break; the flexible bend. Even so, a limit must be established, lest one become pliable and therefore susceptible to undesirable influence. One must be capable of understanding where lines must be drawn and why. Those lacking such skills are in danger of becoming nothing but meat. Any enemy which has reduced thus itself has discarded its humanity in favor of something fundamentally bent must be dispatched as one would a rabid dog. Any friend whom has likewise done so must be removed, as difficult as that may be, lest everything sought is irrevocably damaged.

8c. Some question should not even be necessary to ask. By being forced to ask, one has an additional answer: he (or she) is not to be trusted.

8b. Questions that have hitherto been answered may periodically require a re-asking. Over time, the answers may have changed. This applies equally to matter involving oneself, others or a combination of interests. However, if conditions have changed radically yet the answers remain the same, then one has encountered stagnation. The destiny of those so afflicted is to wither and die. When dealing with such opponents, one need merely be patient and do nothing different. They will defeat themselves.

8a. Lest one is eaten alive, questions that need to be asked must not be avoided. The answers might not be pleasant, but can be an immense relief. Of course, one need not share such insights. Indeed, those types not ready to hear your conclusions may react violently. Even so, such responses may prove useful in answering other questions.

7e. The light at the end of the tunnel may indeed be an illusion. The hurricane’s eye only provides a momentary respite before the worst resumes. However, during such coherent moments, one may rise and head for high ground and shelter before the storm returns. At least one will be better able to weather the storm and avoid drowning.

7d. On losing it:
Occasionally, stress and fatigue may become so unbearable that the mind simply departs. Depending upon severity, one may recover or not. If one recognizes the onset symptoms in oneself or others, one may minimize the consequences by being proactive and not allowing the situation to further deteriorate. A mind misplaced is better than one lost.

7c. The greatest errors may neither be undone nor atoned. Those responsible may only be made an example and removed. Although actions most often fall into the category of the inexcusable, language and especially images may in actuality be worse. Mass dissemination magnifies. It repeats itself ad infinitum and enrages. As stated previously, especially during conflict, This Modern Warrior Archetype does not need any more enemies. All other considerations aside, the stress alone is not worth enduring. As a consequence, regardless of side, the root is ultimately an enemy and should be treated accordingly.

7b. During conflict, language is a primely important means for obtaining one’s goals. For effective application, one must be capable of understanding the opposing mindset. As difficult as it might be, projections must be avoided. As an antecedent, one must be psychologically aware. In general, the damaged are too withdrawn and therefore incapable of the proper empathy type required. One may not be able to avoid scarring, but at least a higher functioning level of self-awareness will enable one to recognize it. Sometimes, one just needs to be excused for a time.

7a. Words are as important a means to ensuring success during conflict as any other way. However, unlike the respect granted to physical and technological avenues, language is not often accorded the esteem that time has proven it warrants. Many simply spew whatever occurs. A foolish word or phrase may have the unfortunate effect similar to throwing gasoline on an open fire. In a world where the smallest slight may become magnified into something unmanageable, perhaps it is more important knowing what not to say.

6c. Experience hardens. Numbness may masquerade as calm. Inevitably, lest one’s mind be devoured, stress will lead towards withdrawal from reality. Calm will at least impede that downward slide. At least, the hardness will not be so hard.

6b. Calm is extremely important during conflict. When the senses are preserved, one is more capable and effective toward whatever objective may be at hand. In conflict situations, while others are losing their composure, calmness serves as both a rallying point (for allies) and a repellant (for enemies). The disheartened are uplifted; fear fears the fearless. Calm is essential for This Modern Warrior Archetype. It may be achieved by experience and self-discipline. Some things do not come easy.

6a. A sense for the dramatic may be amusing, but is probably better avoided during conflict. One may become deluded into thinking that fighting might be easy. However, a touch for theatrics may be instrumental in avoiding conflict through intimidation. An excellent means involves exploiting pre-existing misconceptions and fears. A potential enemy may be suppressed or otherwise negated through such means. Of course, one must have enough insight to see past one’s own errors.

5c. When conflict is inevitable, speed is essential. However, haste must not override one's sensibilities. Over-reaction will create more enemies. Proactive measures should not be excessive. Unfortunately, experience is generally the only means for determining ends. One must survive mistakes.

On This Modern Warrior Archetype Part Five.5.2
5b. In most situations, conflict will involve confrontation. It can be minimized by projecting strength and exploiting the fears of actual and potential adversaries. Hence, only those whom are serious about struggle will try, and can therefore be crushed without hesitation or mercy. One can then sleep well knowing they asked for it.
