I would contend that the social process of objectivity represents actions, values, and assumptions that are collectively espoused and block individual inertia/wisdom from the process.

I would contend that "individual inertia/wisdom" deadens rather than "blocks". One can say anything, but it doesn't really matter, because it won't change anything.
